Child Drop-Off Service

    1. Children aged 3 to 12 years old (fully toilet trained) are entitled to this service.

    2. This service is available from 10am to 5pm on Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

    3. A 24-hour advanced reservation is recommended. Walk-ins are also welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.

    4. Reservations would be optional in cases of late arrival, medical reasons, or cancellations policies will apply.

    5. A parent/ guardian must sign on TOY8 Drop & Shop Waiver Form before dropping off your child.

    6. The parent/ guardian is encouraged to remain in the premises during the period of drop-in care.

    7. There is a 10 minute grace period to pick up your child after the contracted scheduled playtime. Charges of RM60 per 30 minutes extension would be determined if late pick up happens.

    1. General health check of your child will be performed.

    2. Child’s temperature above 37.5 Degree Celcius or showing signs of illness is recommended to stay at home.

    3. Any medical issues that child may have must be declared to staff.

    4. Socks must be worn at all times for hygiene purposes.

    5. Please prepare some light snacks (nut-free finger foods are strongly recommended) for your child if you are dropping off your child with us for more than 3 hours.

  • Do your staff have education training and/ or experience working with children?

    • YES. Your child will be taken care of by our Early Childhood Development team with qualified educators. They have a deep love for children and much experience working with children in various capacities.

    Are the parents required to be on the premises while their children are in care?

    • YES. We recommend the parents to remain in the premises during the period of drop-in care.

    What is the staff-to-child ratio?

    • To ensure individual care and attention to your child, a child care group with one educator for every five (5) children would have a staff-to-child ratio of 1:5.

    What are your hours of operation?

    • TOY8 Drop & Shop service is available on weekdays from 10am to 5pm, excluding public holidays. Meanwhile, TOY8 Playground is open every day from 10am to 9:30pm.

    Do I need to make reservations?

    • A 24-hour advanced reservation is recommended. Walk-ins are also welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservation making is available at this link.

    Can I cancel my reservation?

    • In the event of cancellation, please contact us at +6019-7364588 or email us at playground@toyeight.com. Your session will be held for 15 minutes from the time of your reservation.

    What is the registration process like?

    • You can register ahead while you make advance reservations online here. Registering in person at your first visit/ walk-in is also available. During your first visit, we will take a photo of the adult who is designated to drop off and/or pick up your child. The parent/ guardian must sign on TOY8 Drop & Shop Waiver Form before dropping off your child at the playground. In the event someone other than the parent/ guardian is picking up your child, we will only release your child after verifying the adult’s identity with a valid I.D.

    Can I send in my child who is not toilet trained?

    • To maintain the staff-to-child ratio at all times, our educators do not perform diaper changing. Therefore, we only accept children who are fully toilet trained.

    What packages do you offer?

    • We offer 3 different types of packages with the duration of 1 hour (Explorer Package); 3 hours (Adventurer Package) and 4 hours (Researcher Package).

    What type of activities will be available for my child?

    • TOY EIGHT Playground is filled with original hands-on toys that are inspired by various Japanese products, techniques and cultures. Our educators will be observing and guiding your child closely as they enjoy their playtime in our playground! You may also check this page out for our available Smart Play Activities.

    Do you offer meals/ snacks?

    • We do not provide meals/ snacks for this Drop & Shop service.

    • To ensure your child has enough time to explore and have fun in our playground, snack time is not included in the “1 hour Explorer” & “3 hours Adventurer” packages.

    • A 15 minute snack time will be included in the “4 hours Researcher” package. Please prepare some light snacks for your child (nut-free finger foods are strongly recommended) if you are taking this package.

    What if I’m late picking up my child?

    • In the event you are 10 minutes later than the scheduled time, a RM60 per 30 minutes will be charged in addition to the package you have signed up for. Please contact our staff in advance to make necessary arrangements.

    How do you ensure cleanliness and proper hygiene?

    • Cleanliness is a high priority for the children in our care. We clean and sanitize the playground regularly to ensure it is always clean and disinfect. It is compulsory to wear socks in the playground for extra hygiene purposes.

    What are your procedures in the event of illness/ injury?

    • In the event of an accident or injury, the child will be assessed and tended to. We have an adequate first aid kit easily accessible at our playground. The parent will be notified by a phone call if attention is needed. If it's not too serious, the parent/ guardian will be notified with an accident report presented at time of pick up. In the event of an emergency, our staff will first call for medical help, followed by a phone call to the parent/ guardian. If there is a serious incident/injury/illness or emergency, a report will be filled out and signed by all staff present.

    • If a child shows signs of illness while in our care, the parent/ guardian will be called and expected to pick their child up within 30 minutes. Your consideration to keep your child home while being sick is much appreciated. We consider a child ill and unable to play with us if they show signs of following:

    • Sore throat, unexplained rash, pink/watery eyes, persistent cough, runny nose (that is not of clear discharge), a fever of 37.5 celsius degrees or higher, diarrhea, vomiting, evidence of lice or another infestation.

    Can you administer medications for my child?

    • We do not recommend sending in any medicines with your child. Our staff will not administer medications for your child.

    What will I receive after using this drop-in service?

    • You will receive a “Strengths Tracker Report” prepared by the assigned educator in a week after using this drop-in service. This report includes photos of your child’s moments captured during playtime with us in the playground, observation comments by the assigned educator and more to know further on your child’s unique strengths and untapped potential!
