Smart Play Activities

The design of our entire playground is based on the

Theory of Multiple Intelligences

What is the Theory of Multiple Intelligences?

Human beings are intelligent. The theory of multiple intelligences argues that instead of seeing intelligence as a single general ability, it can be split into different categories of intelligence. It is a theory that describes the different ways your child can learn and acquire information.

We believe that by bringing this theory to life in an easy-to-understand way, your child’s ability can be properly identified and narrowed down, making it easier for you to further develop their strengths.

The 8 Areas of Intelligence

Word Smart

Is your child good with words? If your answer is yes, your child’s strengths lie in writing stories, memorising information, and reading. They are able to use and apply words well, both when writing and speaking.

Self Smart

Being aware of their own emotional states, feelings and motivations while being able to assess their personal strengths are signs of a child who is strong in interpersonal intelligence. They enjoy analysing theories and ideas, and are self-motivated.

Body Smart

Body Smart children are highly aware of the world through touch and movement. There is a special harmony between their bodies and their minds. They possess excellent hand-eye coordination and perform well in areas like dancing, sports and creative activities.

Music Smart

Children who are musically intelligent think, feel and process information primarily through sound. They have a strong appreciation for music and a superior ability to perceive, compose, and/or perform music. If music resonates well with your child, this could be your child’s unique ability.

Picture Smart

If your child is good at visualising things, they’re often good with directions as well as maps, charts, videos, and pictures. A child who possesses visual-spatial intelligence enjoys reading, writing and drawing, and excels at solving and interpreting puzzles, riddles and patterns.

People Smart

Does your child enjoy interacting with other people? If he does, that’s a clear sign of interpersonal intelligence. Children with this ability are good at assessing the emotions, motivations, desires, and intentions of those around them. They have excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.

Math Smart

Some of the characteristics of a child with logical-mathematical intelligence include excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, conceptual thinking when it comes to numbers, relationships and patterns, and the ability to think abstractly. This type of intelligence is usually well developed in mathematicians, scientists, and detectives.

Nature Smart

For children who have a natural interest in the environment, they can usually easily identify and categorise plants, animals and rocks. They are in tune with nature and have a strong desire to keep exploring what’s around them.
